The Grissom Inn and 434th Force Support Squadron Services Flight are initiating a mobile app which will enable members to make reservations through their phones. Grissom members can now use the Using the Automated Lodging Reservation System app, to make lodging reservations for unit training assembly’s as well annual tour.

An airway transportation systems specialist maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs surveillance radar, air traffic control software systems, air-to-ground radios, runway instrument landing systems and the base weather station.

Ireland, civilian fire chief of the Grissom Fire Department, received the 2021 Indiana Emergency Responders Conference Fire Chief of the Year award for his outstanding achievements and leadership.

  • Grissom hosts ESGR boss lift

    For some reservists asking for time off from civilian jobs can be a daunting task, but a collaboration between the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Grissom, Fort Wayne and Terre Haute units is designed to make that task easier to do. The 434th Air Refueling Wing, 122nd Fighter Wing, and 181st Intelligence Wing partnered with the Indiana ESGR on Aug. 27, 2021 to show Hoosier employers what their Reservist or Guardsman does when not working with them.
  • Air Force Reserve demonstrates strategic depth of combat airlift on Wyoming highway during training exercise

    Air Force Reserve Command kicked off a week-long exercise, Rally in the Rockies 2021, by landing a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft on the highway near Rawlins, Wyoming, Sept. 13. The highway closed early in the morning to ensure the aircrew could safely practice recovering personnel without access to a runway within simulated enemy territory.
