  • Dignified transfer taking place Sunday

    The body of Corporal Sanchez will arrive at Grissom at approximately 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12, 2021. Sanchez was one of 13 military service members killed in Afghanistan on Aug. 26.
  • Financial Management launches new comptroller service portal

    The 434th Air Refueling Wing Finance Management office launched a new comptroller services portal. Grissom is one of three Air Force Reserve Command test bases going live with the new Air Force CSP on September 9th.

  • Hoosier Wing welcomes new vice commander

    The 434th Air Refueling Wing introduces the new vice commander, Col. Frederick Kuehn. Before Kuehn became a member of the Grissom family, he was a joint aerospace operations officer at Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia. In 2001, Kuehn earned his Air Force commission as a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
  • 434th MXS conducts aircraft recovery exercise

    When a KC-135 is down and damage is done, the Grissom maintainers are on call and ready to take action. The 434th Maintenance Squadron conducted an annual crashed, damaged, disabled aircraft recovery exercise on July 30, 2021.
  • Bermudez assumes command of 434th AMDS

    For centuries, assumption of command ceremonies have allowed members the opportunity to witness the symbolic passing of the flag in the presence of friends, family and fellow Airmen. The 434th Aerospace Medicine Squadron witnessed this tradition and met their new commander, Lt. Col. Kelli Bermudez, during a ceremony held here, Aug. 8.
