Employer Support

Grissom Air Reserve Base has a very active employer support program. The 434th ARW Public Affairs Office, in partnership with the Indiana Committee for Employer Suport of the Guard and Reserve, manages a variety of programs to increase employer awareness. Programs include base visits, orientation flights, briefings, awards, and executive sessions with key leadership. Civilian companies who employ members of the 434th Air Refueling Wing are encouraged to contact the Public Affairs Office at (765) 688-3348 if they have questions or concerns.

Employers of Air Force reservists can take flight with the 434th Air Refueling Wing onboard a KC-135R Stratotanker to witness firsthand the mission of the Hoosier Wing and gain a better understanding of how their reservist employees support that mission. This full-day experience includes a Grissom overview, mission briefing and an actual aerial refueling mission. Reservists wishing to nominate their employer can do so by clicking here.

The 434th Air Refueling Wing wants to recognize employers who provide outstanding support to their employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve. 434th ARW Airmen who want to recognize their employers' support may do so with an Employer Support Award that is signed by both the 434th ARW commander and the reservist employee.
