As the Grissom Air & Space Expo nears, getting information to the public becomes more critical, but a new app is making that process much easier.

The Grissom ARB app was recently developed and released to provide the most updated information for people who plan on attending the event Sept. 7-8, 2019.

“Our office has fielded hundreds of calls since the expo was announced nearly a year ago,” said Doug Hays, 434th Air Refueling Wing public affairs chief. “This app will answer nearly all of those questions and then some.”

The app provides the most updated information regarding traffic routes, premium seating, security policies, performers, displays, maps and schedules. Updates will be made until the show ends.

“The base hasn’t had an airshow since 2003, so people have a lot of questions,” said Hays. “We want to ensure they are getting the most accurate information in a timely manner, and this app has been developed to do just that.”

The app can be downloaded on both Android and Apple platforms by performing a search for ‘Grissom ARB’ on your favorite application search tool.

General admission and parking are free. Gates open on both days at 8:30 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m.  The flying acts are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. weather permitting.
