Grissom’s Airman and Family Readiness Center is accepting donations for their annual food drive until the Saturday of the December unit training assembly.

Tech. Sgt. Daniel Huff, 434th Force Support Squadron A&FRC technician, said they are primarily looking for non-perishable canned or boxed foods.

“You will see colorful boxes across the base that are ready for your donations,” he said. “You can also bring donations directly to A&FRC in building 431.”

They are also looking for the names of Airmen whose families could benefit from the annual Angel Tree gift donations. Anyone knowing Airmen that might be in need of help during the holiday season should submit names to A&FRC.

Huff said that all names should be submitted no later than November 5.

“Please also note that Airmen can submit their own names if they need a little extra help this holiday season,” he said. “There’s no need to have someone else submit you.”

Angel Tree gifts and food donations will be distributed to Airmen beginning on the primary December UTA.

A&FRC is also accepting monetary donations from anyone who would find that easier.
