Grissom’s runway reopens, aircraft and personnel coming home

434th Air Refueling Wing commander, Col. Summer Fields, officially opens the newly renovated runway during a ribbon cutting ceremony at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind. on September 18, 2023. The runway reopened following a $60 million renovation project. For the past 150 days, Grissom's aircraft and personnel that maintain and fly those aircraft have operated out of nearby Fort Wayne while the project was completed.
