Enlistment at the Sears Tower

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Col. Rick Maughmer (far left), Air Force Reserve Command Recruiting Squadron vice commander, administers the oath to nine new recruits during a mass enlistment ceremony at the Sears Tower in Chicago. "We were able to go to the observation deck, hold our enlistment ceremony and have plenty of spectators on hand to see, even a Russian couple," said Senior Master Sgt. William Fountas, senior recruiter at Grissom. "It was a great turn out from our applicants, their family and our recruiters." Each year, the local recruiting squadron conducts a mass enlistment ceremony to kick off the new fiscal year. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Master Sgt. William Fountas)
