Taxi on by

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Civic leaders from the law enforcement community watch as a Grissom KC-135R Stratotanker taxis out of its parking spot. Minutes later, the group loaded into another KC-135R and took off on an aerial refueling mission over the southern United States. The twenty-two members of law enforcement came from agencies across central Indiana. The group had the opportunity to participate in an aerial refueling mission as part of the Grissom's community outreach which includes civic leader and employer orientation flights, a speaker's bureau, and other programs. Civic leader flights are a key tool in helping public leaders grasp and understand the importance of the responsibilities and mission of Grissom and its personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
