Local students get base tour

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Students from a Fort Wayne, Ind., home-school association listen to Jason Hofmeister, a Grissom Fire Department firefighter, as he explains the daily activities that happen at the firehouse and GFD firefighters are often called to save lives both on and off base. The students were on a tour of Grissom, which included a stop at the fire department as well as a KC-135R Stratotanker static display. Base tours are designed to help educate the public on the many missions of Grissom's personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Mark R. W. Orders-Woempner)
