Marines give NJROTC cadets military perspective

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Mark Trouerbach explains the mission of reservist Marines in his communications detachment to a group of Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps cadets here Sept. 8. The NJROTC cadets were visiting Grissom to gain a better understanding of military operations and life. Captain Trouerbach is the inspector instructor for Detachment 1, Communications Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group talked with the cadets during their tour. The cadets are from Proviso East High School in Maywood, Ill. The mission of the NJROTC program is to instill in students in United States secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.
