GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Sitting in the cockpit of a KC-135R Stratotanker, Senior Airman Brandon Galus, a KC-135R crew chief with the 434th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, answers a question about the aircraft from Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps cadets Sept. 8. The cadets, from Proviso East High School in Maywood, Ill., toured Grissom, visiting both the Marine Corps Reserve detachment here and a KC-135. The mission of the NJROTC program is to instill in students in United States secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.
