GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Senior Airman Bernard Johnson poses for a photo with cadets from Proviso East High School?s Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training program Sept. 8. Airman Johnson, a graduate of Indianapolis' Pike High School and a NJROTC program there, met with one of his former instructors, Miss Diane Johnson, while she toured the base with the cadets from Proviso East. The mission of the NJROTC program is to instill in students in United States secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.
