GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- A fire team methodically moves through a doorway during an active-shooter training scenario held on base recently. Trainers from NAS Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, and Grissom, taught security members tactics using a non-lethal weapons adaptation, that provides realistic training for active shooter and hostage scenarios. The modified weapon uses an adapted barrel in the service pistol to fire specially tipped low velocity rounds in a safe training environment. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Douglas Hays)
