Grissom Celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The men and women of the 434th Air Refueling Wing celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is the annual U.S. commemoration of Dr. King's birthday, Jan. 15. Dr. King was an African American civil rights leader in the 1950s and '60s. He used nonviolent methods to assist the advancement of civil rights in the U.S. Martin Luther King Jr. Day was first observed Jan. 20, 1986, and the holiday is observed on the third Monday in January every year.
