GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- K.O. Jackson, right, gets a lesson in air traffic control tower operations from Robert Moore, 434th Operations Support Squadron air traffic control training manager, as Mindy Conner helps direct the simulation in an ATC tower simulator at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind., April 7. Mr. Jackson, a local newspaper reporter, visited the base to learn more about Grissom ATC, which provides provide air traffic management for the airspace between Chicago and Indianapolis, going as far west as Lafayette, Ind., up to 10,000 feet.
