Grissom ATC manages north-central Indiana aircraft

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- In a blur of speed and precision, Jon Holz manages civilian and military aircraft above Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind., April 12 in Grissom's radar approach control facility. Mr. Holz is an ATC specialist assigned to the 434th Operations Support Squadron. ATC specialists like Mr. Holz provide air traffic management for the airspace between Chicago and Indianapolis, going as far west as Lafayette, Ind., up to 10,000 feet 365 days a year.
