Cardboard crush

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Lisa Maynard, 434th Civil Engineer Squadron laborer, throws cardboard into a compactor May 2, where it will be crushed, baled and shipped away for recycling. In 2010, the base recycled over 174 tons of material including 91 tons of scrap metal, 48 tons of cardboard, 29 tons of paper and 2 tons of used tires.
