New IG sets sights on communication

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Col. Melissa Weydert, 434th Air Refueling Wing inspector general, briefs Airmen new to Grissom about what they can expect from her as the IG during a recent newcomers orientation class. As a wing-level IG, Weydert serves as an extension to the 434th ARW commander by acting as his eyes and ears and being alert to issues that affect the organization. Her primary responsibilities include administering a complaint resolution process and proactively training Airmen about IG processes and fraud, waste, and abuse issues. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj.
