Senior Master Sgt. Erin Esquer, senior enlisted leader of the 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, participated in an international Military Reserve Exchange Program hosted by the Danish Home Guard, June 29 - July 6, 2025.

Selected through the Air Force Reserve Command's Enlisted Developmental Education Board, Esquer joined 21 military personnel composed of Danish, Lithuanian, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Army participants in Nymindegab, Denmark. The program centered on leadership development, targeting service members with direct managerial responsibilities over squadrons or teams.

“The course offered far more than traditional professional development,” said Esquer. “It was a powerful opportunity to network, interface and build lasting collaborations with our international partners.”

The curriculum emphasized foundational managerial tools and focused on enhancing participants' understanding of squadron level leadership. The Danish-led course provided a unique multinational environment, allowing participants to share perspectives, build relationships across services and countries, and sharpen leadership skills through interactive training and discussion.

The Military Reserve Exchange Program, conducted annually in partnership with allied nations, serves as a platform for reservists to exchange ideas, expand their leadership competencies and strengthen international cooperation.
