GRISSOM AIR RESEVE BASE, Ind.— Grissom Marines recently welcomed new leadership, as Capt. Jameson Taylor took the helm as Inspector-Instructor, Communication Company Detachment 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 45, Marine Forces Reserve here on July 4.

Taylor, a California native, relocated to Grissom from Camp Pendleton where he served as a platoon commander, company operations and training officer.

He commissioned as an officer into the Marine Corps in 2014.

Still in the evaluation process, Taylor said he hasn’t mapped out specific goals, though he has plans to.

“I’m looking forward to learning how things operate here away from the rest of Marine Corps,” said Taylor.

Opened in 2003, the Marine Corps Reserve Center at Grissom is the home station for more than 100 Marines.

Their primary mission is to establish communications for other units in a tactical environment.

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Men and women from the Hoosier Wing routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission.
