"State of the Base" address is February 9 Published Jan. 25, 2008 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind, -- The second annual "State of the Base" address by Brig. Gen. Dean Despinoy, 434th Air Refueling Wing Commander, will take place on Saturday, Feb 9, 2008, during the Grissom Community Council's general membership meeting. The event will be held at the Grissom dining facility in the second floor conference room. Social hour is at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $22 per person. The State of the Base address is a special presentation designed for local elected officials, community leaders, and Grissom Community Council members. The address will cover a variety of topics including Grissom's economic impact, construction projects, deployments, upcoming events, and the 434th ARW's world-wide mission. In addition to the State of the Base address, the meeting will include a review of GCC activities, proposed GCC bylaw changes and election of officers.
