Military Retiree Appreciation Day is August 22 Published March 6, 2008 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind -- The 2nd annual Military Retiree Appreciation Day at Grissom ARB will be Friday, August 22, base officials announced recently. The event will include lunch, information fair, Defense Commissary case lot sale and a host of surprises. "Last year's inaugural event was a great success," stated Lt. Col. Gary Lockard, chief of public affairs. "More than 500 retirees attended the event, far surpassing our expectations. We are adding additional activities so we hope to do even better with attendance this year." Organizations scheduled to be a part of the information fair include: 434th Mission Support Group 434th Operations Support Squadron Defense Commissary Agency Grissom Community Council Health Net Federal Services Miami County Veterans Service Office TRICARE Retiree Dental Program/Delta Dental U.S. Small Business Administration Additional details will be released as they become available.
