Band of AF Reserve bids for an Emmy Published Feb. 8, 2011 NASHVILLE, Tenn -- The Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 2009 Holiday Notes From Home television production was a top four finalist in the regional Emmy Awards announced here Jan. 29, 2011. The band's performance wasn't the top choice selected by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Science, however, it marks the first time an Air Force military band has been nominated for such a prestigious award.
