GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. --
Grissom Air Reserve Base will host a virtual open house to cover the findings in an Air Installation Combatable Use Zone study completed recently.
The virtual open house will be held from 5-6:15 p.m. March 10, 2021 and can be accessed by clicking (or copy and paste) https://arb-grissom.meetsyou.online/ just prior to the open house starting.
“Traditionally we’ve held these study findings in a more traditional open house setting,” said Colonel Larry Shaw, 434th Air Refueling Wing commander. “We value the interaction we have with our neighbors, community leaders and stakeholders, but in this pandemic we made the decision to hold this meeting virtually.”
Attendees will get the same information they would in a more traditional setting, but can do so remotely.
The study promotes long-term compatible land use in the vicinity of the base. It also provides land use recommendations to ensure the safety, health and welfare of the public and compatibility with the Air Force’s flying mission.
Representatives from Grissom and the study team will be available to answer questions about the AICUZ study update during open house.
“Grissom has a long history of being a good neighbor and a valuable part of the community,” Shaw added. “Studies like this help us to ensure that we remain that way.”
For inquiries regarding the AICUZ Study, please contact the Grissom Public Affairs Office 765-688-3348 or email email@example.com
An electronic version of the Study will be available after the public meeting at: https://www.grissom.afrc.af.mil/
We hope you will join us for the virtual AICUZ open house!
