Last call for retiree dinner reservations Published Nov. 13, 2007 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind -- Military retirees planning on attending the special Holiday Dinner at Grissom ARB have until 4 p.m. on Wednesday to make their reservations. The special dinner will be Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Consolidated Dining Facility. It is jointly hosted by the GARB Military Retiree Information Office and the 434th Air Refueling Wing. "Response to the dinner has been outstanding," stated Lt. Col. Gary Lockard, chief of public affairs. "We already have more than 130 people who have made reservations. It should be a great evening." The staff of the GARB Consolidated Club will prepare one of their famous ham and turkey buffets and cost is $12 per person. "This is another outstanding opportunity for military retirees to have a great meal, see old friends, or make new ones," added Colonel Lockard. This is the third major event the base has hosted in the past few months as part of its new military retiree outreach program. A special Military Retiree Appreciation day, with 500 in attendance, was held in August and a special trip to Michigan City was held in September. To make reservations, please call (765) 688-3348.
