Droppin' the hammer Published Nov. 10, 2009 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Tech Sgt. Jeff Engel, a heavy equipment operator with the 434th Civil Engineer Squadron, pounds a stake into the ground with a sledge hammer at a new training site for civil engineers just west of State Road 31. The site will allow Airmen to practice using the equipment in a safe environment. The barricade being built will stop debris from falling into the protected wet land areas during construction and use.
