GUS Honor Guard presents Colors at new Peru VA Clinic

  • Published
Members of the Grissom Base Honor Guard recently presented the Colors during the opening ceremonies for a new Veteran's Affairs outpatient clinic in Peru, Ind.

The base honor guard frequently performs various ceremonial duties in the community, including presenting the Colors and providing military honors at funeral services.

Ceremonial Guardsmen pay special attention to their uniforms as they represent the United States Air Force and Grissom in the community. Each ceremonial uniform is inspected prior to each detail to make sure everything is perfect.

Typically, base honor guard details will arrive at a scheduled event one hour prior to plan and practice, making sure each movement is performed with exacting precision.
