With honor Published Nov. 22, 2010 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Staff Sgt. Christopher Lowery (left to right), Senior Airman Christopher Thrower and Staff Sgt. Jeff Schlageter pay tribute to the flag during a retreat ceremony held here during the November unit training assembly. All three Airmen are fire protection specialists with the 434th Civil Engineer Squadron. Retreat ceremonies are held each day at Grissom and serve a two-fold purpose. They signal the end of the official duty-day and serve as a ceremony for paying respect to the flag.
