Grissom recruits enlist at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Two of Grissom's newest members joined the ranks of the 434th Air Refueling Wing in style -- at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Patterson Burks and Sheri Ashcraft took part in a mass enlistment ceremony at the track. 

Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana swore in 73 military members from all branches of service, including the Coast Guard.  Also on hand were Col. William T. "Tim" Cahoon, 434th Air Refueling Wing commander, and Tech. Sgt. Shawn Emmerling, Air Force Reserve Command recruiter.

The 434th ARW is the largest is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command.
