The men and women of the 434th Air Refueling Wing celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is the annual U.S. commemoration of Dr. King's birthday, Jan. 18, 2021. Dr. King was an African American civil rights leader in the 1950s and '60s who used nonviolent methods to assist the advancement of civil rights in the U.S.

Veterans Day
In observance of Veterans Day, the 434th Air Refueling Wing honored those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Formally known as Armistice Day, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially signed the President Proclamation of 3071 in 1954 to designate November 11 as Veterans Day – a day to honor all who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
