434th ARW trains to project air power

Staff Sgt. Logan Nunez, a petroleum, oil and lubricants specialist with the 434th Logistics Readiness squadron, carries the nozzle of the fuel hose back to the fuel truck at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind. on May 18, 2025. The crews conducted hot pit refueling of a KC-135 Stratotanker, which is the process of gassing up an aircraft on the ground without fully shutting off all engines, enabling a faster aircraft turn around resulting in aircraft flying again sooner.
