Fit to fight fires

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Les McConnell, assistant chief of fire-prevention at the Grissom Fire Department, explains how to inspect a fire extinguisher during a fire prevention week activity at Grissom. When inspecting a fire extinguisher there should not be any yellow or white powder inside of the hose. This means that the extinguisher has been discharged and may not be working.
