The Grissom Rising Six held a costume party at Chocks to celebrate Halloween during the October unit training assembly.

The Airmen who attended the event were asked to vote on who had the best costume with the winner and two runners up receiving gift cards. When the voting was complete Senior Airman Jason Hrycaj, 49th Aerial Port Squadron air transportation specialist, was selected as the winner.

“It’s nice that the Rising Six puts on events like this,” said Hrycaj. “I didn’t expect to win, it was just a fun thing to do on a Saturday night.”

Rising Six Vice President Staff Sgt. Kara Curtis, 434th Air Refueling Wing executive assistant, said it was important for the Rising Six to host these types of events to bring Airmen together.

“I think that getting everyone together is a great way to boost morale,” said Curtis. “We wanted to bring people on base together to celebrate the holiday.”

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Men and women from the Hoosier Wing routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission.
