The 459th Air Refueling Wing hosted more than 30 Civil Air Patrol cadets from the CAP's International Air Cadet Exchange program on July 11, 2025. The cadets got a tour of the unit's KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft and gained an understanding of the 459th's global air refueling mission.

The Civil Air Patrol is a federally chartered non-profit corporation that is also the Air Force auxiliary. CAP’s mission is supporting America’s communities with emergency response, diverse aviation and ground services, youth development and promotion of air, space and cyber power through aerospace education.

CAP cadets selected for the IACE are considered the best of the best; possessing great integrity and leadership ability; a keen interest in aviation and foreign culture; and are expected to share their experiences with their fellow cadets, family, and community. The visiting cadets are from the U.S., U.K., Belgium, Australia, and New Zealand.
