The cadets got a tour of the unit's KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft and gained an understanding of the 459th's global air refueling mission. CAP cadets selected for the IACE are considered the best of the best; possessing great integrity and leadership ability; a keen interest in aviation and foreign culture; and are expected to share their experiences with their fellow cadets, family, and community.
