Stepp promoted to staff sergeant

Air Force Reservist Cynthia Stepp, a former resident of Paris, Tenn., was recently promoted to the rank of staff sergeant.

Sergeant Stepp is an information management specialist in the 434th Operations Support Squadron, part of the 434th Air Refueling Wing at Grissom. In this capacity she provides administrative support and customer service for Air Force Reservists, managing pay, personnel orders and mail distribution.

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Its mission is to provide mid-air refueling support to bomber, fighter and cargo aircraft. Personnel and aircraft from the wing routinely deploy around the world in support of various Air Force missions and operations.

Sergeant Stepp is a 1992 graduate of Henry County High School. She also graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in computer information systems.

She is the daughter of Coy and Janine Isbell of Paris, Tenn.

In her civilian Job, Stepp is a civil service employee at Grissom ARB.
