  • Published
Tech. Sgt. Jerome H. Humphrey, Jr., of Peru, Ind., recently reenlisted in the Air Force Reserve.

He is the son of Jerome and Janice Humphrey of Patton, PA.

The reenlistment ceremony was unique as it was conducted aboard a KC-135R Stratotanker during an aerial refueling mission at 27,000 feet in the skies over Missouri.

"This was my fifth reenlistment and I wanted to make it memorable," said Sergeant Humphrey. "So why not at 27,000 feet over the U.S.A."

Sergeant Humphrey is a command post controller with the 434th Air Refueling Wing. He has been a member of the Air Force Reserve for 10 years and has a total of 22 years of military service.

The 434th Air Refueling Wing is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command and its people and aircraft routinely deploy around the world to support various Air Force missions.
