Sanford is promoted

Air Force Reservist Joshua A. Sanford of Niles, Mich, was recently promoted to the rank of Airman. 

He is the son of Stanley and Acarlla Sanford of Buchanan, Mich. 

Airman Sanford is a financial management apprentice with the 434th ARW Comptroller Office. In this capacity, he deals with a variety of travel pay issues for Air Force Reservists at Grissom ARB. 

The 434th Air Refueling Wing is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command and its people and aircraft routinely deploy around the world to support various Air Force missions. 

Airman Sanford is a 1997 graduate of Buchanan High School and resides in Niles, Mich., with his wife Sarah and son Roland.
