Preece completes leadership course Published April 19, 2007 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind -- Air Force Reserve Master Sgt. Douglas A. Preece of Peru, Ind., recently graduated from the Senior Noncommissioned Office Leadership Course at Grissom ARB. He is the son of Deborah Powers and Randy Cunniff of Tipp City, Ohio. Sergeant Preece is an inflight refueling specialist with the 434th Air Refueling Wing and has more than 19 years of military experience. As an inflight refueling specialist, Sergeant Preece plays a vital role in the aerial refueling missions flown by the 434th ARW. The leadership course consisted of training modules that focused on communication skills, teamwork, creativity, negotiation and conflict resolution, career progression, motivation, recognition and leadership planning. The topics were designed to provide senior noncommissioned officers with the opportunity to affirm skills that already possessed as well as new items to help them deal with contemporary issues they face in today's Air Force explained course officials. The 434th Air Refueling Wing is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command and its people and aircraft routinely deploy around the world to support various Air Force missions. Sergeant Preece is a 1987 graduate of Piqua High School in Piqua, Ohio., and later earned a bachelor of science degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. In his civilian occupation he is a civil service employee at Grissom ARB.
