Aldrich promoted to staff sergeant

Air Force Reservist Rebecca E. Aldrich of Lapel, Ind., was recently promoted to the rank of staff sergeant. 

She is the daughter of Teresa Whitebear of Lapel, Ind. and the niece of Annie Aldrich of Big Bear Lake, Calif. 

Sergeant Aldrich is a power production journeyman with the 434th Civil Engineering Squadron, and has a total of four years of military service. 

She plays a vital role in installing, removing, operating and maintaining electrical power generating and control systems, aircraft arresting systems and associated equipment. 

The 434th ARW is the Largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Personnel and aircraft from the wing routinely deploy around the world in support of various Air Force missions. 

When not serving at Grissom, Sergeant Aldrich is a resident assistant and a student at Purdue University located in West Lafayette, Ind.
