Grissom Airman named outstanding performer

Senior Airman Krishma Patel, a resident of Fox River Grove, Ill., recently received an outstanding performer award from the 434th Civil Engineering Squadron. 

Airman Patel is the daughter of Ratilal and Sarot Patel also of Fox River Grove. 

She is an engineering assistant. In this capacity she conducts construction surveys, produces technical drawings, performs site inspections, monitors contract compliance, base/and air field damage assessments, facilitates rapid runway repairs, and produces base layout plans.

She a graduate of Devry University in Addison, Ill., has a total of four years of military experience. 

The 434th CES is a component of the 434th ARW -- the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Personnel and aircraft from the wing routinely deploy around the world in support of various Air Force missions. 

When not serving at Grissom, Airman Patel is a biomedical engineering technician with Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill.
