Third quarter busy for Grissom responders Published Oct. 11, 2007 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Grissom's first responders were kept busy during the third quarter of 2007. The Fire Department had a total of 41 on base and 150 off base runs. The department responded to 28 building alarms or fires on base, and 11 off base. The unit responded to 129 medical runs off base and 10 vehicle incidents with personal injury or property damage. Grissom's first responders routinely react as good neighbors and assist the local areas under a mutual aid agreement authority.
