Marion was recently promoted to the rank of master sergeant. Sergeant Marion is a 15-year veteran of the Air Force and currently serves as the superintendent of the legal office for the 434th Air Refueling Wing. His responsibilities include planning, organizing and directing legal services personnel in the areas of military justice, claims, civil law, and court-reporting activities; performing paraprofessional and legal research functions in connection with civil law, military justice, and claims activities. The sergeant is a 1986 graduate of North White High School, in Monon, Ind., and earned a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, and a jurist doctorate from Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington. He and his wife Cindy reside in Brookston, Ind. He is the son of Robert Marion of Monon, Ind., and Martha Knauff of Rochester, Ind. Grissom is home to the 434th Air Refueling Wing, the largest KC-135R Stratotoanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command, and its aircraft and personnel routinely deploy around the world to support the Air Force Mission.
