Pershing is new chief of MEO Published June 4, 2007 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind -- Air Force Reserve 1st Lt. Tenna B. Pershing of Westfield, Ind., has been appointed as the new Chief of Military Equal Opportunity at Grissom ARB. Lieutenant Pershing is a 23-year veteran of the Air Force. As the Chief of MEO, she will work to improve readiness and the quality of life for base personnel by ensuring Air Force equal opportunity and treatment policies are fulfilled. Her responsibilities also include promoting equal opportunity programs to foster an environment free from personal, social or institutional barriers; conduct quality of life climate assessments as a feedback tool for unit commanders, support activities which celebrate diversity, and conduct informal mediation to resolve disputes. Prior to being named as the Chief of MEO, some of Lieutenant Pershing's past assignments have included public affairs, historian, and personnel officer.
