Maintenance Group promotions Published Dec. 1, 2010 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Nine individuals from the 434th Maintenance Group were recently promoted. The individuals and their new ranks are Master Sergeant Daniel Lewis; Technical Sergeants Joshua Hardin and Joseph Boelcke; Staff Sergeant Philip Mayes; Senior Airmen Dustin Shoaf, Cameren Hilton, Kenneth Garcia and Michael Griffeth; and Airman Lance Blackwell. The 434th Maintenance Group is responsible for KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft maintenance oversight and a variety of on and off aircraft maintenance and support activities. Group responsibilities include avionics, fabrication, systems, jet propulsion, inspection, logistics management, maintenance control, maintenance supply, plans and scheduling, resource management and ground support equipment. The KC-135 Stratotanker is the Air Force's primary aerial refueling aircraft and can refuel fighter, bomber and cargo aircraft. The 434th Maintenance Group is one of three major groups within the 434th Air Refueling Wing and plays a key role in the Air Force Reserve Command's world-wide mission.
