GCC prepares for 2011 Published Dec. 5, 2010 GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- The Grissom Community Council, a civilian nonprofit group that supports activites at Grissom, held a meeting of its exectuve board recently to plan for the election of officers and other events in 2011. The proposed slate of new officers includes: President: Jay Kendall Vice President: Tom Weatherwax Secretary: John Stackhouse Treasurer: Jim Price Kokomo Regional Directors: Jan Briscoe and Lean Lushin Peru Regional Directors: Jim Yates and Gary Beebe Logansport Regional Directors: Dave Arnold Wabash Regional Directors: John Gilpin and Hal Job Advisory Committee: Francis Jaquay Membership Committee: Dave Shearer Deployment Suport Committee: Brian Wright Finance Committee: Jim Price Social Committee: Joan Lake The GCC annual dinner and election of officers will take place on January 21 in conjunction with 434th Air Refueling Wing commander Col. William T. "Tim" Cahoon's "State of the Base Address." The GCC provides support to the Airmen, Marines, Soldiers and civilian employees of Grissom ARB through a number of liaison programs. Grissom ARB is one of only five Air Force Reserve Command bases in the nation and is home to a variety of organizations, including the 434th Air Refueling Wing. The 434th ARW is equipped with a fleet of KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft and its aircraft and personnel routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force's aerial refueling mission.
