The Cops took down the Civil Engineers in the Grissom intramural softball championship by winning two games in a row. The score of the first game was 13-12 and the score of second game was 9-8.

The Civil Engineers were undefeated coming into the championship game and were averaging 20 runs a game. In game one of the championship it seemed the high-powered offense of the Civil Engineers would continue as they scored seven runs in the first inning.

However the poised Cops rallied to win the game in seventh inning. Down 12-5 the Cops took advantage three errors by the Civil Engineer defense and scored eight runs.

The second game proved to be even closer as the Cops locked up on defense and held the Civil Engineers to their lowest scoring output of the season.
