Grissom's honorary commanders: Part 2

A director of digital communications, a retired dentist, and an online communications specialist are three of the individuals who will participate in Grissom's honorary commanders program during 2012.

The honorary commanders program provides select community and business leaders with a first-hand look at Grissom ARB, its mission, and impact on the local community. Grissom's honorary commanders took their oath of office during a special ceremony on February 12.  Grissom's honorary commanders program allows select civic and community leaders the opportunity to receive a first-hand look at Grissom ARB, its mission, and impact on the Indiana.

Chris Theisen, director of digital communications for Flex Pac, an Internet marketing company, will serve as the honorary 434th Air Refueling Wing command chief. At Flex Pac,  Theisen is responsible for all online marketing, web properties and email marketing,

Dr. Robert Beckett, a retired dentist, is the honorary Army Reserve commander. Dr. Beckett recently retired after 31 years as a general family dentist. During his dental career, he was the dental surgeon for five church mission trips to Central America. Prior to his career in dentistry, he was a pharmacist. Beckett also served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Purdue University, his doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Tennessee and his doctorate in dentistry from Indiana University. His community involvement includes the American Legion, Wabash County Board of Health, the Honeywell House, Wabash County Historical Society, Wabash County Chapter of Mental Health America, Wabash County Tobacco Free Coalition and Kiwanis.

Cassie Dull, Online communications specialist for Park Tudor School, is the honorary Marine Corps Reserve commander. Her duties at Park Tudor include managing all content for the Internet web site of a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade private institution, social media, email marketing and newsletter for parents and alumni, photography and video production. A graduate of Butler University, Dull is active in the Indianapolis social media community, a board member for Council for Advancement and Support of Education and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.

Grissom is home to the 434th Air Refueling Wing, the largest  KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command, along with three Army Reserve units and one Marine Corps communications detachment.
