Joint forces exercise

  • Published
A small group of United States Air Force, Army and Marine personnel are scheduled to participate in a joint forces exercise at Grissom ARB on Sunday, August 5, 2012.

The purpose of the exercise is to test the ability of medical personnel to response to simulated wartime casualties.

While the exercise will be conducted on Grissom ARB, some of its activities may be noticeable to the general public as it involves the use of two Indiana Army National Guard helicopters, ground burst simulators, smoke and blank ammunition. Members of the public should not be alarmed regarding the actions at Grissom ARB on August 5 as they are part of a planned exercise and not part of a real-world situation.
