The U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America will perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 11, at the McHale Performing Arts Center in Logansport, Indiana.

The event is family-friendly and open to the public.

“This is an opportunity to gather with our communities and be entertained in an event that promotes patriotism, and allows us to connect with service members who forged a trail of excellence for us and also allows us to connect with some whom we may turn the reigns over to in the future,” said Col. Larry Shaw, 434t Air Refueling Wing commander.

The band has a long history of performing for the American public and promoting esprit de corps within the military.

They represent more than 660,000 active duty, Guard, Reserve and civilians who are fully engaged as America’s joint force in every region of the world, and across the full spectrum of military operations.

“I’m looking forward to their performance,” Shaw said. “I hope that those on base will join our neighbors for a great evening of entertainment and interaction.”

The 434th ARW is the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve Command. Men and women from the Hoosier Wing routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force mission.
