With a snap of a shutter and click of a mouse Tech. Sgt. Ben Mota went from telling the story to being the story.

Tech. Sgt. Ben Mota, 434th Air Refueling Wing public affairs noncommissioned officer in charge, won first place in the 2015 Air Force Reserve Command media contest in two categories - feature photography and graphics layout and design.

"I'm used to telling the story of our Airmen and not being part of it," Mota said. "We always strive to be visual in our efforts to tell our story. If you get people's attention visually, they may be drawn to learn more about what we do here."

In addition to those awards, the PA office won first place for outstanding website.

"Our PA staff does a tremendous job of telling our story," said Col. Doug Schwartz, 434th ARW commander. "I'm very pleased Sergeant Mota and the PA team were recognized for their great efforts."

The 434th ARW public affairs office communicates the messages and stories of the largest KC-135R Stratotanker unit in the Air Force Reserve.
